We have recently purchased a 13 year old unit in Pakenham which came with a ducted heating unit that was put in when built. We were not familiar with any local plumbers but previous owners had left an invoice from Settlement Plumbing that had been done in 2018 regarding the thermostat. Accordingly, we decided to take a chance and call Steve at Settlement Plumbing when the ducting unit started having issues and ultimately was in need of a new motor. Steve was very prompt in coming to initially service and replace a part in the original system, noting that the unit itself had been installed in a bad position in the roof that made servicing/access difficult and necessitating going through the roof tiles and not the manhole. As the unit was now 13 years old and a few weeks later fan wouldn't turn off and ultimately motor packed it in, we decided to replace the whole unit with a new Braemar and change the positioning in the roof to enable better access for future service. Steve was quick to respond to come back and measure up last Saturday, provide good value quote by Monday and subsequently install new unit bright and early on Wednesday (during lockdown). All work and communication has been professional and Steve is very knowledgeable, friendly and communicates all aspects well. Work is excellent and we have been very happy with the what he has done. We understand one of the other units in our block have also used Steve in the past and also recommend his service. We have no hesitation in recommending him.
